After 9.000 miles and no problems, I feel as though I can give my thumbs up for this vehicle, a Versa SL 1.8 w/the CVT ! I am a bit disappointed with the fuel mileage. I have driven the car from Hartford, CT. thru the hills of Scranton, PA. on I-81 down through the eastern states on I-95, then onto I-4 to Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL. All of the freeway driving on cruise control and I still only averaged 31 mpg. I am very pleased the the car after trading in a 2002 Nissan Maxima w/75,000 miles on it. The Versa is much more 'fun' to drive; tracks better and handles much better than the Max.I average about 375 miles before the low fuel light comes on and then I have about one and a half gallons left to get to the next station. My major concern was to be able to get around in comfrot, with good fuel mileage and respectful handling. I got them all. Last but not least, I also opted for the ABS brakes; mandatory in my book.

About
The Nissan Versa was launched in North America in 2006 as a five-door hatchback, with the four-door sedan version appearing later that same year. Under the hood lay a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 122hp. It drove the front wheels through either a six-speed manual transmission, a four-speed automatic or a CVT. When the Versa was launched, its low price made it the cheapest new car available in North America. All models were well equipped, with air-conditioning as standard, while higher trims had cruise control. Changes were minor, and mainly concerned cosmetics. The second-0generation car appeared in 2011, powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Nissan repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Nissan Versa repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
